The Life Cycle Assessment of a pedestal teaches us that:

LCA of a Pedestal Teaches us

Solidor produces its adjustable pedestals with recycled polypropylene.
- Doing so they reduced their environmental impact from cradle to gate to 46 grams of CO, equivalent per pedestal.
- This is only 7% of the full life cycle impact in which distribution and incineration is considered.
- Height-adjustable Solidor pedestals are useful when building your new terrace. They can be used wherever it is necessary to reach the required heights of the walking surface or to overcome unevenness.

  • With the use of recycled PP, Solidor reduces the share on the total impact of their upstream value chain from 70% to less then 7%!

  • The produced carbon footprint is limited to 34 grams of CO per pedestal, so 1 tree compensates for the production of 735 pedestals per year.

  • And the End-Of-Life, 85% of the pedestals are considered to be incinerated, resulting in a total consumed carbon footprint that is 20 times higher the produced carbon footprint.
When the demand for recycled granulates increases the total carbon footprint will decrease, Solidor is setting the example to do so.
